It could be a pain in the butt.

My F&E store just never seem to have enough people to clog up the lines. Then again, not sure if that's a good sign. Hahaha!

Thanks for following me here.OakMonsterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13642913606085031710noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7258914931492992147.post-66937530401911177432008-05-16T18:37:00.000-07:002008-05-16T18:37:00.000-07:00Hey, I was the Anon on FEB who complained of havin...Hey, I was the Anon on FEB who complained of having to scan and check my own groceries.

I don't know about you, but I buy quite a bit of stuff. There's usually eight or nine bags full of stuff when I come home from an average trip. I have a relative with me go shopping, and one scans while the other bags. This works well enough, except neither of us have worked in a grocery store so we can't bag as fast as the people who do.

Anyway, we went to the store yesterday so I got to rethink my standing on this, since the workers were busy with other customers. By the time I was done scanning, we had a bag or two of stuff left to go so as I went to help him out, the next customer started scanning stuff and sending it down the conveyor belt. After a "hey, whoa, we're not done here! Hold on!" we got him to stop but it reinforces my opinion: They need enough people so that customers don't have to double duty at the conveyors and slow down efficiency for everyone.

At the self-service, non-conveyor stations where the bags are right under the scanner, I can understand scanning and bagging your own. But again, we just buy too much stuff to use those.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
